B-trust, Kenya

Bitcoin Dada has been more than an educational platform; it has grown into a community where I found my people. After completing the course, I joined the mentorship program, where Sabina guided us through content creation in-depth. Her mentorship was invaluable. Shortly after, Marcel approached me with an opportunity to apply for a position as a communications lead at Btrust Builders. I submitted my CV, went through the interview process, and was thrilled to secure the position.

Coming from a non-technical background, my role at Btrust Builders is a continuous learning journey. I am challenged daily, working with developers and technical content. I manage social media, help plan and execute events and internal projects, write newsletters and blogs, and oversee the overall image of Btrust Builders. Being part of the operations team has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I get to work with amazing people who challenge me everyday.

My experience with Bitcoin Dada has been transformative. The event in Lagos was an eye-opener, where I connected with incredible minds and formed lasting relationships with inspiring women in the Bitcoin space. The knowledge and support I gained have empowered me to navigate and contribute more confidently to the Bitcoin ecosystem. I am actively involved in the Bitcoin space, focusing on education and community engagement. My current project centers on empowering and educating people about Bitcoin, particularly in underrepresented communities.

I host a TV series on a major station in Nigeria, Tozali TV, where I educate viewers on the fundamentals and potential of Bitcoin. Additionally, I provide resources and information in Hausa, the most widely spoken language in West Africa, to ensure the message reaches a broader audience. My work is dedicated to demystifying Bitcoin, encouraging participation, and promoting financial inclusion through this transformative technology.

I am deeply grateful to Bitcoin Dada for inspiring me to take this step. Bitcoin Dada is not just an event; it’s a movement that is truly shaping the future of women in Bitcoin.

Tando, Kenya

Being a Bitcoin Dada has been life-changing for me. Not only did I deepen my knowledge about Bitcoin and financial literacy, but I also found a community of amazing women who helped me step outside my comfort zone and made me believe in myself more than I ever thought possible.

After completing the course and graduating, I landed an amazing opportunity to work for Bitcoin Dada as their Growth Lead & Content Creator. This role has been a constant source of learning, expanding my knowledge of Bitcoin and honing my skills even further, eventually inspiring me to launch my own project, Tando—an app that enables seamless bitcoin spending in Kenya.

The journey has been incredible, and I owe it all to the seed Bitcoin Dada planted in me. I’m eternally grateful to Marcel and the entire community for laying the foundation for my success.

I embarked on a journey with Bitcoin Dada to empower myself financially and join a community that shares my passion for economic freedom. As someone passionate about the financial industry, I recognized the world’s shift towards virtual currencies and financial technology. I joined Bitcoin Dada to deepen my understanding of Bitcoin and its applications.

As an African woman, I firmly believe that Bitcoin has the potential to bridge the financial gap and create opportunities for women in my community. Through Bitcoin Dada, I’ve gained invaluable knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate the crypto space with ease. I’ve come to appreciate the importance of Bitcoin in today’s digital age, including the security and transparency of blockchain technology, its potential to promote financial inclusion, and its growing adoption in mainstream finance.

I’m thrilled about the positive impact Bitcoin will have on my life and career, and I’m proud to be part of a movement that promotes financial inclusion and independence for African women. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from expert instructors and be part of a community dedicated to bridging the gender gap in technology and finance.

I joined Bitcoin Dada in February 2022 and graduated as part of Cohort 2. The supportive community and extensive resources have profoundly inspired me. Currently, I’m involved in educational and community projects within the Bitcoin space, helping more women to understand Bitcoin. Through my business, I create curiosity about how businesses can adopt Bitcoin for payments and as a store of value.

My community-building efforts show that Bitcoin is for everyone, regardless of age. By sharing my knowledge and experiences, I aim to inspire more women in business to participate and enjoy the benefits of Bitcoin, like borderless transactions. This is my way of giving back for the free Bitcoin training I received at Bitcoin Dada almost two years ago.

Collaborating with Bitcoin Dada has been transformative, deepening my understanding of financial independence and decentralized finance. This knowledge has enriched my personal life and enhanced my career as a nutritionist, allowing me to offer comprehensive advice on financial and physical wellness.
I’m forever grateful to Bitcoin Dada for this life-changing journey, and I look forward to continuing to inspire and empower others.
