Our Programs

Education & Development

Bitcoin Dada develops Bitcoin capability through progressive pathways that move participants from foundational understanding to applied practice, technical contribution, and ecosystem leadership. Each pathway serves a distinct stage of engagement, while remaining connected within a coherent institutional framework.

Applied Learning Cohorts
(Entry Point)

Structured, time-bound cohorts designed to build strong foundational and intermediate Bitcoin understanding.

These cohorts introduce participants to Bitcoin from first principles, emphasizing practical use, economic context, and independent thinking.

Learning is guided, peer-based, and paced, providing a clear starting point for individuals entering the Bitcoin ecosystem for the first time or seeking to formalize their understanding.

Applied Learning Cohorts function as the primary on-ramp into Bitcoin Dada’s broader capability pathways.

Cadence: Three cohorts per year, each running 6–8 weeks. Cohorts typically begin in January, May, and September, with an inter-cohort period dedicated to applied projects and consolidation.

Dada Developers Hub
(Technical Pathway)

An independent, technical initiative focused on developing female Bitcoin and Lightning engineers.

The Dada Developers Hub supports female engineers pursuing hands-on technical competence through applied learning, collaborative building, mentorship, and sustained contribution to Bitcoin-related projects.

Participants deepen their technical skills while engaging with real problems and open-source development practices.

This pathway is designed for those seeking to move beyond usage into building and maintaining Bitcoin infrastructure.

Cadence: Operates on three annual build cycles (February, June, October), combining 8–10 weeks of guided technical work with post-cycle contribution and product-building phases.

ABC–Dada Fellowship
(Advanced & Capstone Pathway)

A selective, end-of-year fellowship focused on advanced understanding, leadership development, and ecosystem exposure.

Fellows engage in structured learning, mentorship, and applied work, while participating directly in the broader Bitcoin ecosystem.

As part of the fellowship, selected participants are sponsored to attend the Africa Bitcoin Conference, enabling direct exposure to builders, policymakers, and global Bitcoin practitioners.

The fellowship serves as a capstone pathway, supporting participants who demonstrate readiness for deeper responsibility, visibility, and long-term contribution.

Bitcoin for Beginners
(Self-Paced)

Independent Learning pathways provide flexible options for individuals who prefer self-directed engagement over cohort-based participation.

These pathways are designed to maintain rigor while allowing learners to move at their own pace.

A self-paced introduction to Bitcoin fundamentals, designed for individuals seeking clarity, first-principles understanding, and practical competence without cohort participation.

This pathway can function independently or as preparation for deeper engagement elsewhere in the institution.

Talent & Continuity

Talent & Continuity focuses on long-term outcomes beyond program completion.

It exists to support sustained participation, visibility, and integration within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

A curated directory of individuals who have completed Bitcoin Dada pathways and demonstrated applied capability.

The Talent Pool supports visibility, collaboration, and alignment with ecosystem opportunities for partners seeking talent, contributors, or domain expertise.
